Tenant FAQs
Answers to your frequently asked questions
-
Can you hold a property before I apply?
Unfortunately, we’re unable to hold a property without a completed application and required fees. All homes are rented on a first-come, first-served basis once applications are approved. To secure your desired rental, we recommend applying as soon as possible. -
How old do I need to be to apply?
Applicants must be at least 18 years old—or of legal age to enter into a lease agreement in your state. -
Is the security deposit refundable?
Yes, security deposits are refundable as long as the property is returned in good condition, with no damage beyond normal wear and tear, and all lease terms have been met. Deductions may be made for unpaid rent, damages, or cleaning costs. -
How do I apply for a property I’m interested in?
You can apply online through our website or in person at our office. A completed application, non-refundable application fee, and supporting documents—such as proof of income and identification—are required to process your application. -
How do I pay rent?
Rent can be paid securely online through the Tenant Portal, by automatic bank transfer, or via check or money order, depending on your property’s payment options. We encourage online payments for convenience and faster processing. -
I want to move out, but my roommate wants to stay. What should I do?
If one tenant wishes to stay, they must qualify independently or find a replacement roommate approved by management. All leaseholders remain responsible for the lease until official changes are made and approved in writing. -
My lease is ending, and I plan to move out. What should I do?
Most leases require written notice—typically 30 to 60 days—before moving out. Check your lease for the specific notice period and submit your intent to vacate in writing before the deadline to avoid penalties. -
Who pays for repairs and maintenance?
Routine maintenance and normal wear-and-tear repairs are handled by Rocket Realty Group. However, tenants may be responsible for damages resulting from negligence or misuse. All maintenance requests should be submitted promptly through the online Tenant Portal to ensure quick resolution.
